Did I mention that we escaped to a tropical paradise last month 😉
The packing process for that holiday was slightly even more stressful for me than normal as we had only just moved back into the Teaspoon House after leaving it for builders to enjoy, so hadn’t really unpacked before needing to pack again, this time for sunnier climes.
I took the bold move to keep it light on the make up packing front, although if you ask Mr T he might think differently.
Knowing it would be super-duper hot and that my face would mostly be resembling a red boiled sweet (round, red, sticky from suncream/sand/sweat…hmm attractive) the idea of what eye shadow could make that a good look was quickly realised aka nothing will make that a good look Jess, nothing.
Plus I was going to be on holiday, not the daily catwalk of life.
That realised, I was keen to try out the Bare Minerals complexion rescue tinted moisturizer. I’d used it a couple of times before my holiday but was undecided on whether it was for me, so this was an ideal opportunity to give it another chance.
My skin drinks moisturizer, so I still applied a little of my regular face cream first. Then before heading out to breakfast I would pop a small amount to my face, I’d say between a 5p and 10p size for UK readers, and using my hands, sweep it across my face. I did try using a brush but it took too long (maybe use a bigger brush next time eh!) and breakfast was waiting, so nice big sweeping movements did the job.
The finish is ever so slightly dewy, in a good way. A bit like ‘oh me, I’ve been up for hours doing some yoga and now I’m coming along for a breakfast of flack seeds’ – a healthy glow to you and me.
The coverage is light so if you want full face foundation, this is not for you but if you do want something that makes you look a bit more like ‘you’ with an even skin tone, in around 30 seconds, I’d say this will do the job perfectly.
Great for popping out to the corner shop but not wanting to scare the person behind the counter or when you don’t fancy wearing much make up but don’t want to spend the day being asked if you’re feeling unwell.
Yes, this is just the ticket.
