We’ve not had any building developments this week, as I mentioned last week we have a little break at the moment before things start up again.
We’ve thinking about front doors a bit as we’ll need a new one of course.
The current one, is some kind of metal and glass, oh and polystyrene like all front doors should be.
Now starts the decision of composite, solid wood or uPVC.
The dizzy heights of door decisions!!
This has made the walk to work much more interesting though as it’s now there is an added dimension from “ooh look at that extension” to “ooh that’s a nice front door.”
We’re thinking of going for wood to keep with the look of the rest of the street with something painted in what is apparently referred to these days, a heritage paint colour – that means muted but classic, with glass at the top where we can have the house number.
This doesn’t sound like much of a task, but you’d be surprised.
I don’t know why I am still surprised each time we have to make a decision and are faced with 1000’s of options – you’d think I’d be used to it by now!
This is the sort of door and colour I would love to have. This one is from The London Door Company, although our entrance won’t be quite as grand as this one.
Then there’s the type of handles and door knobs which is a whole other set of decisions to make.
