we built this city on rock and roll

The build is coming on fast and furious.

If I were a builder I would definitely need music to keep me motivated, otherwise I think I’d get distracted by people/cars/birds.

I would definitely have some classic 80’s hits to sing out loud.

After week one, we no longer need to duck under the garden fence to get into house as the foundations are completed and the damp proof course is done…listen to me sounding like I know loads.

I really don’t I’ve just watched A LOT of Homes under Hammer, Grand Designs etc.

We can now even see where the windows will be and the ceiling/floor joisty beam things (see I told you I don’t know that much) are up floating in the air magically.

those are the ceiling/floor joisty things

In other news, I managed two, 5k runs last week.

One where I  got so hot that my contact lenses started to steam up – very weird sensation I can tell you and the other where I generally wanted to give up the whole way round and was terrified of the deer I could see in the corner of my eye.

Funnily enough, while on my last run I said to Mr Teaspoon House that the good thing about having a bathroomkitchen is that I don’t have to contend with climbing the stairs to have a shower afterwards as I can hop (haul myself) in, in the kitchen.

That’s one of the perks of our house right now!
